Statement by Liz Lynne MEP on the Dr Raj Mattu affair:

The controversy surrounding Dr Mattu's suspension has gone on for far too long. The Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust must get its act together, set up a genuinely independent investigation into the allegations and resolve this matter speedily, openly and fairly.

Dr Mattu, hospital staff and the general public have a right to see justice being served - this is plainly not happening at the moment.
