Euro-MP attacks Stuart suicide bombers claim.10.26.56am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 26th Oct 2004 West Midlands Euro-MP Liz Lynne has described Gisela Stuart's comment that a Kerry victory in next weeks US elections would increase the number of suicide bombers wanting to destroy the west, as not credible. The Birmingham Edgbaston MP made the comments in an article for House Magazine while stating why she believes a Bush victory would be best for Europe. Liz Lynne, Liberal Democrat MEP responded: "I find Gisela's comments deeply bewildering. The evidence suggests that it is Bush's unilateral 'bull in a china shop' foreign policy that has increased the number of terrorists and suicide bombers. "Kerry's solution of a more inclusive and multilateral policy can only help to prevent the problems Bush and Blair have got us in to in Iraq. Another four years of Bush would do nothing to help the situation in the Middle East and will only seek to raise the animosity of people towards USA and Britain. "Gisela says Bush should be judged on his actions, I agree. This current President has harmed the planet by refusing to sign the Kyoto agreement, refused to uphold International Law by sanctioning the detention and torture of people without trial in Guantanamo Bay, and by launching an illegal war in Iraq against the wishes of the UN. This is not a person I want as 'leader of the free world.' "Bush and Blair have lost the trust of the International community and we need a fresh start to reunite the coalition built up after September 11th in order to fight global terrorism." ENDS
