"Highlighting breast cancer awareness in Europe is so important - over 275,000 women are diagnosed every year. We must make an effort to increase screening and early detection.

"Breast cancer does not have to be a fatal illness. With proper early detection the survival rate could be as high as 90 per cent. Early treatment will save thousands of lives every year."
